Compaired to other sets, you get more in this set for the same price or less without giving up quality. Plus, you can’t put stainless sets in the microwave to melt butter.

My last set of measuring cups had sadly dwindled down to 3 dissimilar sizes. It was getting difficult to measure 1/3 of a cup out of a 1/4 cup measuring cup. I found this set in my search, and it seemed interesting that it seemed to have a potpourri of sizes. Ah-ha! For an individual whose sets seem to disapear with the socks and tupperware lids, it seemed great. (My personal theory is that aliens need these items to power their space ships . These cups are sturdy, ‘nest’ well, and stay that way. No spilling all over the cupboard because they were touched. And the number of sizes makes recipies easy! Having just 2 humans to feed in our home means reducing recipies, and this set has sizes that will actually concede us to measure odd amounts.

Really good for the price

List price is presently $9.95, hardly 50 cents per piece, and Amazon’s discounts make this set an even better deal. I got it to replace my Oxo Good Grips Soft 6-Piece Measuring Spoon Set, Black, which is very solid and has a nice feel but quickly sloughed off it is size labels and became discolored. I like this set better.

I be grateful for it is permanent size labels, molded right into the handles. I like it is colors. The storage rings are easy to open, though I prefer to keep my scoops separate. I really, in truth like the big range of sizes, and on my very original recipe with them (a cheesecake) I used numerous of the less-common ones (1/8 tsp, 1/2 tbsp, 2 tsp, and 1 1/2 cup) — nice to use one scoop rather of two for such things. However, that recipe calls for 1 1/3 cups of sugar, and there’s no cup that size. Hardly a huge deal, but I want 1 1/3 cups at least as often as the included 1 1/2 or 1 3/4 cup sizes.

The only other negative is that they’re finelooking light, altho admittedly I’m applied to the hefty Oxo measures. Just scooping white sugar out of the bag made a cup’s handle flex; I’d be careful in regards to scooping anything heavier. They’re light enough, too, that a spoon flew free of the dishwasher’s silverware rack, and would likely have been toast if my model had an exposed heating element. Load your dishwasher with that in mind.

It’s notwithstanding a gorgeous terrific set for the price, and I’m glad I got it.
